Speed-Time Graphing - Vettel Malaysian Grand Prix

(1)
An activity plotting Sebastian Vettel at the 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix. Good introduction to Speed Time graphing. Provided with YouTube link (which may be blocked by YouTube I’m afraid) and mp4 file. Precede this with Distance-time graphing of Usain Bolt at the 2012 London Olympics. Forces and Motion - Speed time graph Activity with instructions provided in the video. Extra equipment needed - graph paper. Suggest all pupils complete watching on their own device and with headphones. Possible extension: Two extension tasks given in video. Further extension: Convert km/h to m/s -perhaps this can be done using formula on Excel. Look at ‘sampling rate’. How does your graph change if you take reading of speed every two seconds or every five seconds?
