Used with low ability SEN Functional Skills Entry level 1-2 readers in Sixth form. Worked on analysing adverts, dictionary skills and addresses. Included self evaluation form on activity.

Introduce learners to topic of WW2 and focus on evacuees. Give poem as example prior to creating own (in PPP). Allowed learners to use same last phrase in poem to help them, if struggled. Used with KS3 SEN students studying 'conflict&'.

This resource has been a lifeline for end of lessons! I originally developed and used it for the end of teaching English lessons, as a recap, but when I moved over to Cover Supervising it still found its purpose, and best of all the students of all ages love it! Literally at the end of any topic or subject this placemat can be taken out and used, regardless of the ability level of students. It can be read out to them or they can read themselves. It can be used in pairs, alone or as a class discussion - its that versatile!

These cards can be used for any lesson at anytime ie. as starter, plenary or main task throughout a lesson to test knowledge and understanding of lesson/learning.

Used this resource while teaching KS3/4 in a SEN school, teaching English. Started by introducing/recapping sentence structure. Using a section of Roald Dahl Boy to teach about the use of verbs, being and doing. Also included is a link to a website, with added worksheets/resources.

To round up Space and Time Travel topic i designed this 'Alien Wanted Poster&'. Used with Yr7 SEN pupils during English lesson. Included Lesson Plan to show how introduced and used poster to develop reading and writing skills.

As part of Tales of Mystery and Imagination topic I chose to do a little on crop circles. Introduced topic - read from book and asked Q's based on reading - got learners to imagine they found crop circle and write report on what saw/draw own crop circle to end. Used with KS2 SEN learners over 2 hour lesson in English.

Introduced learners to class reader of Goodnight Mister Tom. Looked at book cover and blurb - group and individual tasks. Computer, dictionary and writing tasks all included. Worksheet/tasks based on book and DVD. Used as 2 hour lesson in a SEN KS3 English lesson.

Used with KS2/KS3 SEN learners during English lessonS. Introduced each slide, and offered explanation of demonstration of tasks. Used names as can also reiterate the use of capital letters for names.

I used this PPP during a 40 minute PSHE class with year 10 pupils. I used current and relevant 'funny&' examples regarding a serious matter to allow for easy relation for pupils to understand and be familiar with. Can also be referred to for behavior in school towards each other.
