Differentiated resource originally made for reflection time after my year 10s had just completed a homework on Pythagoras but could easily be used as a starter or plenary. 3 questions for each section, starting with standard missing hypotenuses questions to trapeziums, isosceles triangles and 3D Pythagoras.
This is a booklet of questions I created for a few topics based on the old curriculum with the old A* - G grades. The topics include basic algebra, percentages, sequences, fractions and pie charts.
This was made for lesson observation with lower ability year 7. Worksheets start on very basic area (counting squares), rectangles and triangles then compound shapes. The lesson was given as good.
Differentiated worksheet on area of different 2D shapes and volume/surface area of cuboids.
Trapezium, triangles and rectangles included. Volume and missing values when given the volume
This is a booklet I made to give my pupils for home work based on the Kangaroo Maths scheme of work unit 1 that my school follow. There are a variety of questions testing knowledge of finding the highest common factor, lowest common multiple, prime/square/cube numbers, prime factor decomposition and indices.
I put together a number of activities to be used in form time to encourage the learning of mathematics to all pupils.
These include inverse proportion, simultaneous equations, LCM, etc with a real life scenario, including answers.
Three small worksheets designed for pupils to decide which grade/level they are working at on the topic of expanding and factorising quadratics. I also have some simple factorising for pupils who may struggle and may need some extra time on the basics.
I have created a number of maths questions based on the iGCSE curriculum and previous past paper questions. I have chosen to replicate questions similar to ones the students I teach struggled with.
Lesson on multiplying by ten with a starter on ordering numbers linked to history events (cross curricular links with negative numbers and AD/BC) and a starter on place value. I have used this with my year 7 groups with place value being our first topic of the year.
