This is a collection of resource to enable you to easily teach a unit of poetry during those last few days of term where some fun can be had and some 'best work' can produced at the end of it for Christmas cards or displays. I have also included a Guided Reading comprehension booklet for 'The Night Before Christmas'.

A Greek, Trojan War themed guided reading booklet that is linked to curriculum objectives. The work booklet includes comprehension, diary writing, verb spotting, story sequencing, myths and legends reading, character portrait, letter writing, newspaper writing to list a few.

This lesson focuses on teaching how to use prepositions at the beginning of a sentence to improve the variation in sentence openers. It is linked to a rainforest theme but this can easily be changed/amended.

These resources are for an Egyptian themed D&T day where each child will have made an Egyptian food offering to place inside an individually designed 3D square based pyramid net. Some children may be able to draw their own square based pyramid net but others you will need to find a suitable net for them to cut out.
