Lesson demonstrates to students what a climate graph is before they then draw examples. Data for three different locations included. There are differentiated pro-formas. Students can either draw them from scratch, have the outline ready for them or complete a half-ready graph. There is then a cloze exercise for describing the graphs.

Lesson to explore the climate of Antarctica. It uses the skill of creating climate graphs in order to do so. This lesson contains the framework for this, including an explanation of climate graphs are. There is also the data needed to construct a climate graph for Antarctica and a cloze sentence activity to help interpret and write about the graph.

A lesson that covers the impacts of deindustrialisation. This focuses on the example of Redcar and the closure of the steel plant. The lesson has activities and follow up tasks that could be used as an end of lesson plenary and/or homework.

A whole lesson for the Families & Households topic (AQA Sociology). It deals with resources and decision making in families. It is based on a powerpoint that gives the required information in an easy to follow and visually interesting way, along with activities that allow students to apply what they have learnt and consolidate their understanding.

This is a lesson to introduce India. It focuses on the diversity of the country. It is aimed at Y7/Y8 students studying India as part of the geography curriculum. The lesson is covered over several slides, whilst the main learning activity also acts as an introduction to concept mapping as a skill. The pro-forma for the concept map is included, as is a worked example.

For the 'Resource Reliance' topic for OCR B (9-1). Students need to investigate water transfer and storage as a way of securing water security. This is two lessons. The first covers the Three Gorges Dam and the next covers the South-North Water Transfer scheme, also in China. Context is given on the situation with water in China. Information and suggested activities included within the powerpoint.

This is a lesson that encourages students to understand the socio-economic, environmental and historical reasons why some countries have a lower level of development than others. It is a whole lesson including starter, main learning and plenary activities. It has taken some of the ideas from Geog.3 textbook, but does not need access to the textbook at all.
