AQA A level Eng Lang Paper 1 Meanings and Representations
A series of resources on meanings and representations for Paper 1 AQA English Language
Text A is an extract from a BBC news report (transcript) about Hornsea and the decision to allow nudist bathers (1973), and Text B is a Victorian report about Margate. Both texts presented lots of different representations for students to write about.
Well received resources to practice for Section A of the exam, especially as the 2024 exam included a transcript.
The BBC news report link is included and students found it really funny.
Includes some revision on syntax and sentence types.
You may wish to print out and annotate your own copies for students, but my annotated versions are included if you wish to use them.
In the scheme, it refers to a piece of student work for Question 3. Sadly, I do not own permission to share this, so you will need to find your own marked response as an examplar.
