I originally used these as a base for drama activities and we then went on to use them for a variety of different activities.
3 Weeks worth of thorough planning based on the BBC School's radio version of Private Peaceful.
Week one&'s focus is on diary entries.
Week two&';s focus is on drama and persuasive writing.
Week three's focus is on letter writing, focusing on the difference between formal and informal letters.
The plannign makes reference to sheets/ resources that are saved on the school&'s hard drive. Sadly I&';m not uploading these as they're quite numerous but I they didn&'t take me long to make so I&';m sure you can make them too!

5 different times table tests with all of the 144 times tables listed on each. Each test has the questions in a different order.
Each test has an extra 30 questions at the bottom designed to extend those who finish earlier than others.
I normally do the test with a 7 minute timer on as a ‘beat the teacher’ scenario, though many children are now faster than me. Each child is either trying to improve their score (if they do not finish) or beat their time.
This is a script for a 30 minute class assembly but could also be performed as a short play. The theme of the assembly is: teamwork.
The script features famous detectives Poirot, Miss Marple, Sherlock Holmes and Rosemary and Thyme trying to find out who committed the crime of stealing the Duchess’s jewels.
The assembly originally featured a performance of an edited version of ‘We’re all in this together’ from High School Musical but this could be swapped for another song about teamwork or be removed completely.
