This is a short version of Escape from Pompeii by Christina Ballit for use as a ‘Storytelling School’ style narrative in the style of Pie Corbett since the original is too long for this purpose. Files include a powerpoint with scenes of the main events in the story. An abridged version of the story I have written. A pdf of the ppt pictures with the story underneath each picture that can be printed for the children to use. My storymap - not very good, but might help with ideas for your own.
