This star can be a little tricky to fold but I managed it with support with Y1 children. It’s a great independent Christmas activity in KS2 also. The template can be blown up or reduced to make differing sizes. They can be used to enhance a Nativity backdrop or to decorate the class tree. I also used them at a parent Christmas workshop as a great cooperative activity. Children can discuss the shapes and measure the lines, as well as improve their dexterity with folding and cutting.

I used this resource for Y1/ 2 grammar lessons and also incorporated it into handwriting lessons. It provides simple choices xof -ful/ -less suffixes. They can be used independently or on the whiteboard as a class exercise. There are four exercises altogether so lots of reinforcement!
