This presentation has been designed for a whole school virtual assembly (secondary) The theme for 2023 is Embracing Equity and this presentation covers a number of ways in which women and girls suffer from inequity and how we can fix this.

This resource has been created for a virtual assembly in a secondary school with sixth form. International Women’s Day 2023 has as it’s theme ‘Embracing Equity’ and my assembly is all about how to create equity for women & girls. I have included the following themes: sexism & misogyny, discrimination, the gender pay gap, and representation of women in public life.

A fun way to end the year! Designed for GCSE and A-level Social Sciences students but can be used with any year group (secondary level) 51 debates to choose from, with a range of current affairs, political, philosophical and ethical topics to explore - a good way to do it is to select a student using a random name generator online; invite them to pick a number from 1-51 - click on the number and it will link straight to your topic! Use the name generator again to pick team leaders (to defend/oppose the motion) and invite them to take turns to pick their team mates. Let the debates begin!
