Print off board games and laminate so they can be used again (play in pairs). Will need: dice, counter per player to move around board and a set of story cards between each pair. Move around the board piecing together the story - each player to tally how many story pieces they get to ascertain winner but should work together to put the story in order. Used as intro to end of war/ ToV.

Part of an inquiry into whether or not the Second World War was really over in 1945. Students first come to understand what is meant by the term proxy war, and then look at them in more detail. Used over a double lesson period so would need to be adapted for a single lesson.
