I have devised a placemat and display that support students in writing answers that build from description to explanation to decisions. The front slide is for students to have in their books. The following slides guides you through how to use the sheet. The intro lesson can be adapted to your first topic - it shows how students can build their answers using BEADS from day one. My class have got really confident on their answers with this. It has sentence starters and suggestions for where to find evidence and actions. It is fully adaptable so if Judasim isn’t your second religion, you can replace it.
