I created this grammar practice booklet for my year eleven students to target their common grammatical errors. I have tiered the skills into appropriate sections. We used this as our starter activity in the lead up to their exams. As a class, their ideas were great, but their written accuracy held them back somewhat. This helped build their understanding of grammatical errors and also aided them in proofreading abilities too. Most pages include a proofreading section which has a key focus but is not limited to one grammatical issue. I hope this can be as helpful for someone else as it has been for my year eleven groups! This is a detailed plot of An Inspector Calls that is formatted like a bookmark. It has served quite well for my Year 10 and 11 students as they can just pull it out when they need it. I have purposely chosen to not include quotes so that they need to recall these themselves, and to encourage revision of quotations where possible. However, my Year 10 students have used it during written work when contextualising their quotes and language analysis. I hope it’s useful to someone else!
