This is a ‘Ghost Story’ model text that I wrote for my Year 5 class. I couldn’t find any useful short model texts, so created my own of a suitable length and “scare factor”. It follows a six-part story structure to follow along with the Jonathan Bond English “scheme” we are using at my school. There is a heavy emphasis on building atmosphere and tension in order to help meet Year 5 writing objectives including: -Create atmosphere. -Build tension. -Carefully select words to create effects, sustain and develop ideas and create vivid description. -Vary the way sentences begin. -Orchestrate a range of sentence structures.

This collection of documents in a Progression of Skills document for skills in Computing from Year 1 - 6. I wrote these whilst I was Computing subject leader using many different sources (such as statutory documents etc) to create a cohesive plan for the school. I have written them in the form of “I can” statements so that they could be used easily with pupils.
