This lesson could be stretched over two hours but could fit into one hour depending on the class of students and their abilities. Some examples of the theatres that are used are for the area we live in so you might want to swap out the theatres for examples closer to your school.

This document is a preparation document for a piece of theatre the students have seen to make notes and use key terminology to prepare their answers and focus’ for the examination answer as a preparation tool.

Under Unit 1 of the WJEC/EDUQAS GCSE Drama examination requirements all learners must complete a portfolio of work and within this a Creative Log explaining their process behind the creation of the performance piece. This resource is the ‘dummies guide’ to writing a Creative Log, split into the 3 sections of 300 words with bullet point hints and tips for your actors/technical candidates to support their writing progress. This can be used in lessons or set as homework.
