Autumn term for Year 1 reading comprehensions. Includes short text around the topic of plants. Each text includes 3 questions including, retrieval, vocabulary and then predict. Final week includes an infer questions. 6 weeks of comprehensions to get to know your new t=year 1 class.
One week’s planning on the book Victoria’s Bathing Machine. Includes tools for children to design their own bathing machine. Sequence, plan and write their own story. These lessons ensure children are hitting all targets for Year 2 grammar including expanding noun phrases, commas in a list and good vocabulary.
