A great resource to use after teaching a poetry unit (post-assessment) or as an introduction to poetry for younger students. It can adapted for year 5 - year 8 students (grades 4-7). A 40 slide PowerPoint. There is content for roughly 6 one hour lessons (2 lessons per type of poetry: haikus, limericks and acrostics). Student examplars are provided within the PPT. Activities embed art and ICT cross-curricula oppportunities.
