This is a roughly 4 week unit (3 lessons a week) aimed at Year 7. Students study Shakespeare’s language, villains, presentation of women, and the 3 different forms of plays.
This is a complete SOL for the 2018 novel ‘Ghost Boys’ by Jewell Parker-Rhodes. All powerpoints, resources, and a Knowledge Organiser are included. These lessons were part of a 12 week unit and were taught as doubles (2hr 15 min lessons) to mixed ability Year 8 classes.

Full lesson on Q3 of the AQA Language paper 1. Uses the idea of a film camera to get students thinking about the structure techniques they need to be able to identify for this question. Also includes exemplar paragraphs.
This SOL is based on the adapted version by Geraldine McCaughrean. SOL includes full PPTs and resources. Originally made for Year 8 mixed ability classes. Lessons incluce stretch and challenge tasks, academic reading, and vocabulary work.
