This is a series of lessons in which pupils design, make and test a solar oven. It is designed so that pupils are practicing experimental design and using key scientific vocabulary. Lesson 1 - Introduction to the project and designing the oven Lesson 2 - Making the oven (this may take a few lessons) Lesson 3 - Preparing to test, writing the method, results table, variables etc. Lesson 4 - Testing the oven Lesson 5 - Reviewing results

A short series of lessons on A Life on Our Planet, a documentary on Netflix by David Attenborough. Lesson 1 and 2 - watching the documentary (you will need your own Netflix account for this). There is an associated worksheet called, Film Worksheet Attenborough, for pupils to complete whilst watching the documentary. Lesson 3 - completion of the Attenborough powerpoint, which covers the key themes and ideas of the documentary. There are worksheets for this part of the lesson as well and depending on ability you may want to do this over two lessons. Lesson 4 and 5 - creation of a poster detailing the problems and solutions the planet is facing.
