Lesson 1: background information about litter to contextualise students conduct a survey around the school about how much litter there is look at data collected and decide what to do next Lesson 2: quiz on how long litter takes to degrade look at the results of the litter data collection create a ‘hotspot’ map of the litter throughout the school Lesson 3: pick the most found item of litter that was found in the school example of elastic bands is given create an awareness campaign to prevent this pick a date to do a second survey to see if there is less of the targeted type of litter

A fun way to engage your class in reading regularly. Every time they finish a book, they fill out a mini book report and then colour in a circle. To add some extra fun, make it a race! Use one display board to put up the reading trackers for all of your classes (and one for yourself too!) and have your students race other classes and yourself to reach the stars first! Stick the book reviews around the posters so that other people can have a suggestion of what to read!
