A funny report about the 3 little pigs which includes the different features and the writing style. I have written this for Year 4 but suitable for KS2. A matching activity based on vocabulary from The Raven poem. Children to match the words to their definitions by either drawing a line or cutting and sticking. There’s two separate activities that can be used individually or as a whole. A great vocabulary activity even if you aren’t studying the poem. Children should read the word in the context of the poem to gain a better understanding and may use dictionaries to help them. suitable for Upper KS2 and KS3.

I created this resource maths resource when teaching a Year 6 class. Our topic was WW2 however this can be used just for translations. The children must move the army ship around the quadrants to get to different countries. I would recommend this for years 5-8.

This resource is available as a 1 star, 2 star or 3 star activity, depending on the child’s ability. It gives them angles that they must draw, using a protractor. This is suitable for upper KS2 or lower KS3.

KS2 King’s Coronation Multiplication Challenge. Children are to calculate the costs for the Coronation Party using multiplication with some addition and division too. Includes a standard worksheet and a simplified worksheet with the sum written out for them to then solve. The answers are included. Aimed at Year 4/5 but also suitable for Year 3 and 6. Can be edited to suit class’ needs.

A problem-solving task based around a party for the Queen’s Jubilee. Can be adapted and made easier or harder and there is the option to complete with or without a calculator based on the children. I am giving this to my Year 4 class, who a quite competent in maths, to complete without a calculator.

These sheets were used to support and extend children’s sentences in French so that they could describe themselves.
