The idea is the students start thinking about what is important to them, it also compares well paid jobs and those with employee satisfaction. One is on the This Morning slide, which lasts 6 mins and the other is on the slide with the picture of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, which lasts 2.5mins. Both are very hard hitting, but they get the message across much better than I could.

This assembly focuses on what support is available in school - ranging from tutors, Head of Year through to support staff there are then slides on the support available outside of school; online counseling service, childline, samaritans. There are also 3 you tube clips embedded into the slides. I have also put together a PP presentation that has been printed and displayed in tutor rooms with contact details for childline, samaritans and Kooth (all of which are referred to in the assembly) this will serve as a constant reminder for students and will mean they can easily access the information without having to search online.

The assembly is based on the positive decisions made by some heroic people on September 11th 2001. The assembly includes information on the terror attack, but also stories of people who went out of their way to help others get out of the twin towers; some of which resulted in them losing their own lives. When I delivered it I got students to read out certain sections of the information in the notes pages.
