This lesson is the first in a series of lessons around the book ‘Dear Greenpeace’. This lesson allows children to work together to generate ideas and use speech bubbles to record them.

This is two lessons on catching within KS1. The first lesson allows children to learn the skills needed for throwing and catching. The second lesson allows children to use those skills in a game situation.

This game is the beginning of cricket. Children will work in two teams, batting and fielding. Children will learn to throw the ball and catch the ball accurately as well as ensuring they are developing their running speeds. This game can also be adapted for rounders and baseball. Suitable for KS1 and KS2 children.

I have created this resource which i have used in both whole group collective worship and small group collective worship. This includes planning for the collective worship lesson, the story of the sermon on the mount, some images and background information to the story and the worry doll activity alternative templates. I have found this really useful when creating an activity for this story so i thought i would share!
