This project is designed for a year 8 textiles class. It includes bell tasks (starters), TIF Tasks (Take It Further Tasks), peer assessments and challenges. The learning objectives are to design and make a cushion based around the Day of the Dead, exploring a variety of textiles techniques to develop their designs to enable them to make an informed and differentiated outcome.

This project is designed for a year 9 cohort who have chosen Art as one of their options. This project refines their basic art skills, whilst pushing them to think independently and critically about their own practice. They explore a range of traditional and contemporary artists techniques and how to critically analyse their own work; preparing them for GCSE.
