This is a scheme of work suited to low to middle ability students- with extension tasks to push for higher grades. It is easily adaptable for those in higher sets. The PowerPoint has clips and visuals to engage students. It also has tasks suited for iPad use. The end of unit assessment has been created to link to AQA Language Paper 1A. A very engaging text, Maggot Moon would be ideal for cross-curricular links to History.

A great tool for students to remember what they need to write about in the AQA Lit text exams (Not for poetry). Students first learn how to access an extract and question, they then use this to help them plot an answer to the second bullet point (whole text). Great for lower ability students- gives them a prompt to work to. The dramatic devices section pushes the HAPs and gets them to look at how and why characters are used by writers. My students love it and know it by heart.
