A cut and stick activity where children need to sort the Numicon / numbers into ‘odd’ or ‘even’. There is a visual scaffold for children to aid them in their assessment - even numbers have a ‘flat top’ and odd numbers do not. Perfect for EYFS Mathematics, developing fine motor/cutting skills, sorting skills.

Jars for children to draw or write what makes them feel different emotions. Links very nicely to the story “The Colour Monster” by Anna Llenas. I have also included individual images of the monsters in case you would prefer to cut and stick them onto real jars and fill the jars with different colours, items or images.

A blank Wanted Poster for the Gingerbread Man. The Gingerbread Man ran away and has gone missing! We need to find him… create a unique poster to show our community who we are looking out for. Describe what he looks like and draw a picture to match the description. Will there be a reward for finding him? What will it be? This resource includes key vocabulary at the bottom to support writing and spelling.

Decorate a pancake activity! My class really enjoyed this. They can cut the pieces out, or you can cut them out for the children, and let them have fun choosing their toppings and decorating their dream pancake. Great for Pancake Day (UK).

Simple code Trash or Treasure cut and stick game. Children read and cut each word and stick it under “Trash” (nonsense word) or “Treasure” (real word).
