Two adaptable versions: One with scaffolded write One with more independent write + idea bank How I used it: Starter activity involving acting out different actions with different adverbs Identifying adverbs in a story related to the unit or a standalone book & discussing how author used them for effect Modelling writing sentences with adverbs (in the context of the worksheet, this involves modelling a sentence showing a problem ‘There was a broken bridge.’ then showing how you saved the day ‘I quickly found wooden planks to fix it.’ Replace the adverb and think about how the meaning changes.
