Ready to Learn / 5 Minutes Out Coasters A simple, visual classroom resource designed to support students in communicating when they are ready to learn or need a short break. The double-sided coaster features: *Green side Ready to Learn: shows that the student is ready to engage with the lesson. Red side I need a break: provides a clear, non-verbal way for a student to communicate that they need five minutes away from the learning environment. These coasters are particularly useful in Social Emotional Mental Health settings, SEND and secondary classrooms**, where students may benefit from a discreet and low-pressure way to communicate their needs. They can be printed, laminated and used on desks, tables or workstations. The visual approach can help reduce the need for students to verbally explain how they are feeling and support positive communication, self-regulation and readiness to learn. Perfect for: Social Emotional Mental Health Needs classrooms SEND provision Secondary schools Pastoral and nurture settings Students who find verbal communication difficult Supporting self-regulation and emotional needs
