C2 - Bonding, structure and the properties of matter A worksheet designed to supplement a lesson on an introduction to the types of chemical bonds taught in C2 (Ionic, covalent and metallic). Students first deduce what elements are metallic or non-metallic in compounds. They then identify what type of bonding will be present in simple compounds. Lastly, they summarise the types of elements present in the different bonds, describe how they form, and give an example.
