Confident Me helps young people to:
Understand the concept of ‘appearance ideals’ and where pressure to match them comes from
Build media literacy, exploring how images and messages in media are often manipulations of the truth
Develop strategies to resist appearance pressures, avoid unfavourable comparisons and build body confidence
Students who participate in Confident Me have been proven to have:
Improved body image
Higher self-esteem
Feel more confident to participate in social activities
Feel more confident to participate in academic activities
