This resource has been created to help teachers plan for using continuous provision in their KS1 classrooms. This example was used in a Year 1 classroom in Autumn 1. It covers Art, D&T, Geography, History and Science because the approach to the other subjects tend to be more specific to schools.

This resource is designed to show the coverage of Art, D&T, Geography, History and Science in a classroom that uses continuous provision. It is based on Year 1 National Curriculum Objectives.

I have used this timetable in a year 1 class where I was given flexibility as to when the different subjects were taught. The inputs would be introducing new knowledge or/and modeling that subject’s challenge.
