Charlie's Choice Scheme Of Work

Inspired by the AQA GCSE Devising Drama Unit;Charlie’s Choice is a great scheme of work for Year 7 or 8 that explores practitioners (Stanislavski and Naturalism/Artaud and Surrealism) to better understand why there is conflict as a teenager, and the impact that choices can have. This Drama scheme of work also has really good links with the PSHE Curriculum, and could be used in collaboration with certain topics. In it, Students explore the story of Charlie, a teenager who has made bad choices and has to suffer the consequences. Students will look at staging an argument, consider how Given Circumstances might shape a situation and create a nightmare sequence as an evaluation.

Frozen Live Theatre Designers Scheme

(0)
A comprehensive scheme of work that guides students through the different design disciplines of Costume, Set and Lighting that also offers students the chance to reflect on theatre as a broader industry with marketing and promotional design. This is set against the backdrop of Frozen: The Musical. Students will reflect on the choices made in the London Production, evaluate why they have been made, and then design their own. Attached is a PowerPoint to guide through the lessons, an overall Scheme of Learning and a Booklet for you to print and complete lessons in. This scheme is perfect for when classes lose performance spaces; possibly due to exams, or even as some one off cover. In the past, students have especially enjoyed exploring a different discipline of Drama, especially with growth in the industry.
