A Tudor Christmas Play Script. This play describes a typical Christmas in Tudor times in a humorous way. It has 10 characters, Henry, Catherine, Anne Boleyn, Maria de Salinas, Lord of Misrule and 2 typical families celebrating Christmas. There are opportunities for 22 Narrators and 3 none speaking acting parts. There are 2 songs included in the script; Ding Dong Merrily on High and We Wish you a Merry Christmas (both songs date back to the 16th Century). Including the songs it takes around 20 minutes. Additional Resources needed are; Costumes Willow hoop decorated in mistletoe (we used a hula hoop decorated in printed out leaves) gold jug boar speres (we used drew a sword and stuck it to a meter ruler 2x hobby horses (we printed a picture of a horse, blew it up to A3 and stuck it to a meter ruler) and the swords above.
