This set of 3 lessons builds from identifying features of instructions to writing simple recipes using the features. The Powerpoint covers all 3 lessons and the WALT and Success Criteria are there to use or edit. The tasks all link very closely with the success criteria. Everything is differentiated 3-ways and I have included a list of texts that I used, although the tasks work with any simple children’s cookbook recipes. All resources for the writing task are included and editable for you to alter things for your class. I worked with the HA pupils on writing their introduction as a group input where we composed one together and discussed persuasive language so there is no reference to it in the Powerpoint, however you may want to add that section to your whole class teaching.
