Pupils can watch a recording of their performance back and make suggestions for improvement and set themselves targets. They can also grade themselves on the assessment criteria.
I usually go over these judgements in a different colour pen and add feedback as my students tend to grade themselves lower then they actually are.

This is a booklet I created for pupils to use in Key Stage 3. They can record all their assessment grades, target grades, targets and evaluations in this booklet and review it each year to monitor their own progress.
They only do dance for 6 weeks each year as part of PE but this could be changed to have a booklet for each year of KS3 and record assessments each term.
Pupils use the log to list the resources they have used and the materials they look for.
The pupils submit this with every piece of assessment they hand in.
These are the sheets I use to record pupil target grades and assessment grades.
On the assessment checklist sheet the pupils have to write a target next to theit assessment level which they will try to meet next term. This target come from the level checklist sheet. They pick a statement off that sheet which they think they have not yet achieved and copy it down.
Pupils can set their own lesson objective and target for the lesson as sometimes in BTEC Dance they are performing at different levels and completing different tasks.
