A fun beginning to Unseen Poetry using Eminem as a stimulus. Students begin by studying the chorus of one of his songs (hopefully no students will recognise it) before analysing it in more detail. I found most students engaged very well with a slightly different introduction to their poetry SoW.

An eye catching classroom display to fill a board, or to act as a time line around the top of the room. 100 of the most famous literary figures from history, complete with: Their birth date Their death date (“Present” if still alive) A portrait/picture of the author Their most famous literary works, coded as either novel, poem, play, short story or screen play. Largely based on my own opinions of famous literary figures, but fully adaptable Word Document format means it can be changed to suite your own preferences!
