Rainforest
Display lettering and posters for rainforest as well as writing frames for children to make their own booklet about the rainforest.
Original writing frames made in publisher - I have added these so they can be edited to suit your class.
Letters and Sounds Phase 2, 3,4 and 5 Assessment

KS1 KS2 VCOP help mats L1-3 and 2-4
KS1 VCOP help mat - can be edited to include other punctuation / words
Sound Mat phase 2 and 3 phonemes
This mat is very popular within my class. I have laminated it so the two parts are back to back. The first side gives support to find the sounds to write words. The second side allows the children to have a try at writing the words and builds into an individual word mat.
Story Cards
There are three different cards- character, setting and object. They can be used to support story writing by giving children one of each card to make a story from.
Phonics Focus Worksheets
I have created these worksheets to use as homework to enable the children to practise individual sounds at home. I have also used them to support 1:1 interventions.
Included are 22 individual worksheets and a blank template (Publisher file) should you wish to create your own.
Worksheets :
1 -1. 7 - sh, th, ch, qu, ng, ll, ss - 7 worksheets
2.1 - 2.15 - ay, ee, igh, ow, oo, oo, ar (car), or (door), air, ir (whirl), ou, oy, kn, ck, wh. - 15 worksheets
The worksheets introduces the focus phoneme. All the words used on the sheet contain the previously taught sounds if you are following the Read Write Inc scheme. The first section asks the children to ‘spot’ the focus phoneme and circle the words containing it (This also allows for assessment of previously taught sounds).
Other sections include reading, sorting and writing real and pseudo words, adding sound buttons to words, finding words in the texts they are reading and the environment and the final sections contains a set of words to read in preparation for the phonics screening check.
Finally the children are asked to write a sentence using any words they have found containing the focus phoneme.
