A spelling menu with 30 spelling activities. I use mine every morning with the pupils. Each pupil has a laminated spelling menu so that they can choose their activity to practice their spelling each morning. On Fridays we then have a spelling test.

A unit of work leading up to a ‘Big Write’ session where the children will be writing a biography about Harriet Tubman. These resources were used along side Twinkl’s Biography Introduction Powerpoint, Biography examples and reading comprehension. This was used as a Pie Corbett style lesson which I used with my mixed ability year 4 and 5 class. We created a story map together for each paragraph and then the children wrote their biographes following these as a guide. The BBC Bitesize video was used as a starter for the unit of work.
