This activity is great for allowing children to make observations, ask questions and make inferences based on a front cover.

I have created a set of quiz quiz trade cards which cover most of the VGPS objectives for year 5 and 6 . These cards can be laminated and used as revision tools where children quiz each other and coach each other along the way. Every card has a main subject e.g. modal verbs and there will be a question to answer - some are multiple choice, some are a direct answer and some ask for an explanation. The questions on the cards have been influenced by past SATS questions so that the children can become familiar with the style of questions asked. How to use: each child starts with a card and they find someone in the room to quiz. They themselves then get quizzed by their partner. If they have struggled with their question, they will write down the topic/subject area that they feel they need more work on. After the quizzing is done, they trade and find a new partner. These cards are also very good for short burst interventions - pairing your more able with lowers to coach them.
