This is, as teachers leading this new spec subject, a slightly different content but significantly different skill-demand course. I am no expert, but thought this selection of lessons would take the sting out of anyone teaching Citizenship studies either a) for the first time or b) planning their resources around a slightly different foci. My team use these lesson in conjunction with Citizenship Today for Edexcel GCSE and the page numbers related to this key text book.

I designed this for my Year 13 students (both old and new AQA spec for Sociology). It covers all the necessary 'content' for any Belief Systems question (both short and essay style). It has proven to be (excuse the pun) a Sociology 'bible' for Year 13 students studying for their examinations and has proven indispensable in ensuring the attainment of top grades. This resource has also been used for Philosophy.

All the 'content' of both Crime and Deviance and Methods is covered by this 80-page source. It is often given out as a booklet to support revision and it's 'contents' are reinforced via selecting powerpoint slides in lessons. Often, most teachers, chunk it down according to personalised needs of students and integrate past exam questions to reinforce content.

This is an interactive tool to be used by teachers to either a) revise the key tenets of functionalism or b) set up new learning. It has proved to be an invaluable 'visual' aid for those students who struggle with the themes, issues and concepts of functionalist theory.
