This SOW has been designed for year 7 students of all abilities. This SOW has been designed to promote language analysis and begin to explore a range of themes and characters in the novel. This SOW can be taught over a term or half term, the lessons are rather long which means that teachers have a choice of tasks they may wish to adapt/remove for the lesson depending on the level/ability of the class.

This SOW has been designed for year 7 students. The SOW explores a range of poetic forms such as ballads, sonnets, concrete poems and free verse poems.

These lessons have been designed for a bottom set year 7 class. They can be used as filler lessons at the end of a unit or the school year. They may also be useful for intervention classes.
