There are videos to highlight the work of black people who have not been recognised by history. Finishes with a clip of Morgan Freeman saying what he thinks about Black History month. Students were very interested.

I have made these using the pupil speak statements from a previous poster. I intend to use them in exercise books. Students will look at sheet in plenaries and decide whether they have met any APP targets. They will record the date on the sheet. Makes it easy for me to know where to look for evidence, gives them a better knowledge of what level they are working at and what they need to do to improve too.

This is a form to be used after an incidence of poor behaviour. It promotes self-reflection and evaluation of the effects of the behaviour on all stake-holders. The last part of the form asks the student to consider why they want to improve their behaviour. Encouraging students to have a reason to improve is a powerful tool in improving their behaviour.
