A quick powerpoint about Japanese samurai, used this to get the children and boys in particular interested in our Japan topic. Used the pictures to inspire our own drawings including manga type pictures and a samurai dictionary at the end.

A simple way of introducing the children to the wide world out there. I cut these out individually and laminate them, too much time on my hands I know. The children sort the cards into the piles that match the country, they can use evidence on the money, or an atlas depending on ability etc. The currency, capital and country are placed as closely together as possible on the document but the flags hopefully most can recognise.
