Powerpoint going through key elements of a book review with examples. Worked really well with y4 class but could be for any ks2year group.
An assembly that i used with whole of primary school about how important kindness is and how they can show it. It led to lots of discussion back in classrooms and links in with a number of RE topics.
Originally used with Y3 and 4 as part of a space topic. Children made the cocktails using differentiated recipes and then surveyed staff as to their favourite cocktail. This was then used as part of a handling data project
Powerpoint consists of extracts of character descriptions from a variety of books with question prompts to explore author's viewpoints and methods of description. This can be used to show how description can be 'weaved in' to writing rather than just a list of characteristics/ features.
This is a powerpoint of a week's work on spelling, focussing on some of the problem areas my class had including: creating and spelling adverbs, homophones, contractions and somethink, anythink... big issue in our area!

Activity used as a stimulus for speaking and listening leading to descriptive writing. Best suited to use in winter because of subject. Originally used with a y3 class but can be used up to y6 as children's responses lead the discussions. i also gave out copies of different photos for group work leading on to individual writing.
Pictures of spiral galaxies used as a stimulus for children's own art. We also focused on using contrasting/ opposite colours from the colour wheel
this can be used to talk about St George and the symbolic image he presents of England and links to RE and prayer
