LAW2 Sentencing activities.
This is a resource that uses quite a bit of stimulus from articles and clips to get students thinking about and applying the principles of sentencing.
Question and Answer Session on the Three Refuges.
It's useful to gather the questions together first, so that the students themselves can gather the information first and then use this presentation to check and share those answers. Please adapt and change as you wish.
Papers 1 and 2: RESEARCH METHODS and METHODS IN CONTEXT.
Two presentations that cover research methods, theoretical, ethical and practical issues and sampling in one and Methods in Context in the other. There are activities, clips and ways to format and think through the structure. The Methods in Context sheets are similar to ideas discussed with Keith Trobe's on a recent training event, but were written well before seeing any of his materials - which are spot-on and clarifying.

Paper 3: CRIME AND DEVIANCE WITH RESEARCH METHODS - Globalisation and crime, green and state crimes.
A presentation on the impact of globalisation and crime which also covers green crime and state crime. There is a link to the TED Talk by Misha Glenny on the McMafia, which is essential viewing. There is a series of questions which can be set as flipped learning before-hand, which are formatted with the answers in the second half of the presentation. At the end there is a practice exam question with an essay plan.

Takes students right the way through the whole unit 2 specification with questions they have to answer as concisely as possible.
Paper 3: CRIME AND DEVIANCE WITH THEORY AND METHODS - Science and value-freedom in sociology.
This is a big presentation which covers the debates of whether or not sociology can and should be a science. There are some mind maps and a load of flipped questions. From this it moves on to discuss ideas around whether or not sociology can and should be free of values. Again, there are mind maps and flipped questions. After that are summaries of the main theories and a big old list of potential theory essay questions at the very end.

A presentation that covers social policy and its links with social theory and ideology. This includes a few clips, with questions along with activities that can be printed out.
