I have written my own version of the Ugly Duckling and and drawn a story map to tell the story. ideal for use in reception, year 1 or year 2

A story about a little penguin who has lost his mum and goes looking for her. Repetitive phrases for children to join in. Each penguin is a different colour to focus on learning colours. Positional language and prepositions used to describe where he looks for his mum.

A story in the style of Dear Zoo. The story goes on a search for a christmas tree but the trees that are sent are too tall, too small, too wobbly, too prickly and too bare! Until they find the perfect bushy Christmas Tree. Repetitive language so that children can join in.

An activity to watch the moon landing, look at the moon, and make their own moon with step by step instructions

Story about a little snowman who meets some friends - a cat on a mat, a dog on a log, and hen counting to ten. Children can join in with rhyming words and match the rhyming words from the story at the end.

A sensory story with slides and with suggested props to take your little explores to each of the planets in the solar system

A unit of work for Year 1 English based on Supertato. Will last a whole half term. a Talk for writing approach with a reading to writing sequence. Story maps and resources included. Please note this is my own planning so was meant to be for ‘me’ - so apologies if any of it doesn’t make sense - I have been through it and tried to explain things as best I can!!
