Here is a topical maths investigation ready for Children in Need Day.
The task is to colour each Pudsey`s hat, shirt, shorts and boots using four different colours. Children then have to investigate how many unique ways of colouring Pudsey there are. Each time, only the same four colours must be used
Encourage the children to work systematically rather than colouring randomly.
Some tables are included to help children organise their work.

Included are a range of children in need activities. These include: Pudsey writing frames both blank and with lines. Pudsey pattern making, aimed at different abilities. Pudsey colouring pages and a fine motor pudsey necklace activity.

Image of Pudsey Bear with no spots on bandage, children are to put the correct amount of spots on. Could draw spots on, make spots with play dough or use counters.

Activity used for a very good lesson observation.
The cards and resources provided the children with an active maths session where they were all engaged and able to answer the questions asked of them.

A mixed set of word problems linked to Children in Need.
Aimed at Year 3 targets for addition, subtraction and multiplication.
Includes finding the difference, bar model and 'I am thinking of a number...' style questions.

Numbers could easily be made more tricky for older year groups.
All the money from the purchase of this resource will go towards Children In Need.

Race the timer and Pudsey to see how quickly you can recognise all the Phase 2 phonemes.

Join in with Pudsey's game to work out what phonemes are hiding behind the spots.

Have a go at writing some of Pudsey Bears CVC words.

Get your learners to create their own Children in Need themed word search.

Instructions:

The learner will think of 12 words that are associated with this UK charity. They will write these words in the grid boxes and on the lines below the grid. Following this, the learner will then fill the remaining grid boxes with random letters of the alphabet.

Get your learners to swap their completed word search with a peer, who will then complete it.

Can you beat Pudsey Bears clock to recognise all the Phase 3 phonemes?

Pudsey's spots are hiding some of the letters in the words? Can you work out which they are?
Get your pupils writing amazing stories about Pudsey and Blush using this fun lesson idea.
Using the worksheet pupils can spend time colouring in Pudsey, Blush and the forest and then with a more academic focus they can write a story about how Pudsey and Blush came to be in the forest on Children in Need Appeal Night.
(The colouring picture has been put together by myself)
There are some example story titles on Pudsey and Blush display cards to get your pupils imagination flowing.

I hope this activity is useful to many of you.
