Having spent a long time trawling the internet for a simple traditional rhyming nativity I was unable to find exactly what I wanted so I decided to write my own! I have written lots of plays over the years but I think this is my absolute favourite and I absolutely cannot wait to see it come to life with my children! I have written this script in very simple rhyming patterns to allow all of the children to easily learn their lines and to follow the story. I will be using this script with 60 reception children but this could easily be adapted to sure with larger or smaller groups by increasing or decreasing the animal group sized accordingly. I work in a non faith school but with the addition of a couple of simple prayers this would work beautifully in a faith school. The inspiration behind this Nativity script is one of traditional School Nativity Plays, think hay bales, donkey, tea-towels and dressing gowns!
