I pulled the following slide show together and delivered it to Year 9, 10 and 11s in assembly. The topic was Numeracy and the importance of this in everyday life. Starts by showing off how familiar students actually are with numbers and how many cultures have contributed to the wonderful history of numbers. The moving onto the great development with regards to counting that numbers allowed. Then move on to their use e.g. jobs, school but finishing on using maths so you can't be made a fool of and make the correct decisions in your life. YouTube clips at 4:25mins and 8:20 mins

Further Pure 2 Revision Booklet

The following is a basic booklet of FP2 OCR past paper questions (can apply to other boards) (Markscheme attached). It's simply a collection of past questions by topic. I find before giving past papers to students, a booklet like this is a great way to start revision by quick session recapping a topic and preparing a revision card and then attempting a few questions back to back on that topic. This has proved useful for me spotting common errors and areas needing some attention and for students to spot patterns in exam questions and key ideas.

Sine Rule Song

Little song for class to sing to help them remember Sine Rule. I got background tune by simply whistling Lord Of The Dance chorus (The tune for the bit that goes, 'Dance then wherever you may be, I am the lord of the dance said he, and I'll lead you all wherever you may be and I'll lead you all to the dance said he) into my smart notebook and recording that. I can't seem to upload my whistling file but if you think you might want to use, email me for a copy. This gives a beat to sing along to and makes it more fun.
