This PowerPoint resource for Unit 18 practical activities in sport covers all of the relevant and up to date criteria from OCR. The Powerpoint covers all of the criteria and includes stop points and practical activities. All required evidence is clear to follow. Please add or amend any slides to suit your groups needs. Please note that this unit requires the following x 1 individual sport (video recorded / Core skills on display within film, must be filmed in competitive situation not just a PE lesson or friendly game) x 1 Team sport, cannot be the same as individual. (video recorded / Core skills on display within film, must be filmed in competitive situation not just a PE lesson or friendly game) x 1 officiating (video recorded / Communication on display within film, must be filmed in competitive situation not just a PE lesson or friendly game) x 1 Outdoor adventurous activity, lots of rules on this and worth checking spec, easiest is orienteering (video recorded / Core skills on display within film, must be filmed and show everyone taking part, Health and Safety elements should be discussed and filmed) Top tips… Choose a skill that can be replicated in the practical activities. Show image and write a storyboard of what to look out for when completing the skill. Advanced skills or those with creativity are not easy to see on camera and especially not easy to replicate more than once. OCR will want to see this being consistent and have an impact in the game. Use a timer and stop the video at points and note time, this will help the moderator when marking. Powerpoint will guide you with what you need but you will need to add your own elements based on individual learners.
